Shokai UK’s sister company Shokai Ausbao has won Best Mixed-Use Development at the 2020 Urban Taskforce Australia Development Excellence Awards. The prestigious award was in recognition of their 60 Bathurst project in Sydney.

60 Bathurst has been designed to provide the best of contemporary urban living in the heart of the city. With a design ethos of Convenience, Social Connectivity and Community, the mixed-use project enables the stylish apartments to benefit from a unique mix of assets that are shared with the podium hotel, including a street front café & bar, outdoor heated pool, state of the art gymnasium, a restaurant offering fine dining options & spacious function rooms.

In the first major live property industry function in the Covid recovery era, Urban Taskforce Australia celebrated the vast quality and scope of winning projects, and 60 Bathurst’s innovative residential mix in the heart of Sydney's CBD secured the judges votes for the award.

Urban Taskforce Chief Executive, Tom Forrest said “the Development Excellence Awards have clearly demonstrated the property development industry’s passion and commitment for the sustainable growth of Australia’s cities”.

Executive Director of Shokai UK, Shawn Zhang said “I would like to congratulate Shokai Ausbao for their fantastic achievement, continuing our long history of award-winning projects in Australia. Not only does 60 Bathurst offer Sydney a development with social connectivity, excellent transport links, beautiful harbour views and amazing amenities, it also demonstrates how Shokai has built up the ability to deliver world-class, award-winning projects around the globe over the past 30 years”.

The Shokai Group operates in Australia, The United States & Canada, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan and China. Previous award-winning schemes include the 2008 Olympic Village in Beijing, 277 Fifth Avenue in New York and The Quay Haymarket in Sydney.
